Major Achievement by Chinese Scientists

Researchers from the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and the Great Bay University in China have completed a mathematical project that attracted significant attention in the scientific community with the help of modern technologies.

A team led by Professor Xu Dishen used the Intern-S2 multimodal model to fully prove the three-dimensional (3D) version of a hypothesis proposed by French mathematician Étienne Ghys in 1995.

The achievement was not only the result of the algorithm’s work, but also of effective cooperation between humans and artificial intelligence.

During the research, the mathematicians outlined the main strategy and guided the AI on which direction to explore. Whenever the algorithm produced incorrect results, the scientists adjusted the research direction in a timely manner.

The complex results obtained were later thoroughly reviewed and confirmed by a separate team led by well-known specialists, including Dong Bin and Lshu Zhuochuan.
