Cristiano Ronaldo Has Earned $2 Billion
Famous Portuguese forward and Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first athlete in sports history whose total earnings have reached $2 billion.
According to expert estimates, in the 2026/27 season the footballer is expected to earn $250 million from his club contract alone. Investment projects and advertising agreements are also expected to bring him an additional $50 million or so.
According to Forbes, Inter Miami’s Argentine star Lionel Messi could also reach this milestone next year. His annual income is expected to be around €145 million.
In addition, on October 17, Ronaldo was reported to have taken a new step in the business sector. He invested €10 million in mineral water production. Construction of the new plant is expected to be completed by the end of 2027, with full production scheduled to begin in 2028.
An athlete’s “total earnings” include all income before taxes — club salaries, bonuses, advertising and commercial agreements, as well as income from private businesses and investments.
