Kazakhstan’s TV Channels to Be Added to Turkmenistan’s Broadcasting Network
Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the information and media sectors is entering a new stage of development.
For the first time in the history of bilateral relations, the two countries plan to establish a permanent joint media council, which is expected to raise cooperation in this field to a more strategic level.
The new advisory and coordinating body will help accelerate the exchange of experience between media professionals from both countries. It will also support broader cooperation between state television channels and the regular exchange of media content.
As part of the practical agreements reached, Kazakhstan’s “Silk Way” television channel, which covers international and major regional developments, as well as “Silk Way Cinema,” dedicated to cinema, will be added to Turkmenistan’s broadcasting network.
This is expected to further strengthen cultural and information exchange between the peoples of the two countries.
