Harry Kane Wins the Ballon d’Or

Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane has won European football’s highest individual honor — the Ballon d’Or.

In the race for the award, he finished ahead of strong rivals including Kylian Mbappé and young talent Lamine Yamal.

The ceremony was held on October 26 at the famous London Palladium theatre in London. The event also made history as the first Ballon d’Or ceremony to be held outside France in the award’s 70-year history.

The season marked the highest point of Kane’s career. He scored a total of 61 goals for Bayern and made a major contribution to the club’s triumphs in the German Bundesliga and the domestic cup.

He also scored 6 goals at the World Cup, helping England reach the semifinals.

Before receiving the main award, Kane was also honored with the Gerd Müller Trophy as the season’s most prolific striker.
