Google Turns a Keyboard into an Escalator

Engineers at Google’s Japanese division have unveiled the Gboard Conveyor Belt Version, a keyboard designed like an escalator with moving keys.

The main idea behind the project is to eliminate the need for users to move their hand or fingers across the entire keyboard. To achieve this, the company placed the keys on a moving conveyor belt.

Google Japan jokingly notes that this format is especially convenient for typing with one hand or even one finger, while the other hand can be used for something else, such as drinking tea.
