BMW Unveils New 3 Series Sedan
BMW has unveiled a new generation of the 3 Series sedan with gasoline engines. The model retains its classic layout, while its design has changed noticeably.
The car also features digital technologies used in the i3 electric sedan. The eighth-generation 3 Series is built on an updated CLAR platform, while the i3, by contrast, is based on the new Neue Klasse architecture.
In terms of exterior design, the gasoline-powered version closely resembles the electric model. The main differences can be seen in the body dimensions, front bumper, and air intake design.
Engine lineups for the U.S. and European markets will differ. For example, when sales begin in North America, the 330, 330 xDrive, and M350 xDrive versions will be offered.
