BMW Updates Its Production Plans
BMW plans to update its model lineup while taking the specific needs of different regional markets into account.
In particular, the company will develop its largest crossover yet for North America. The new SUV will be even larger than the current BMW X7.
According to the company, demand for premium crossovers in North America remains strong. As a result, BMW’s Spartanburg plant is operating at full capacity. The new model will be tailored as closely as possible to the needs of the U.S. market.
For Europe, the company plans to develop its most affordable electric vehicle based on the Neue Klasse platform.
According to some reports, the new model could replace the current 1 Series. Another possibility is that it will be produced alongside vehicles with internal combustion engines.
The model is planned for launch in 2028.
