Indian-Born Immigrants Founded 96 U.S. Startups Worth More Than $1 Billion
The U.S. National Foundation for American Policy (NFAP) studied 775 privately held companies in the United States valued at more than $1 billion.
The study found that 455 of them, or 59% of the total, were founded by immigrants.
Founders or co-founders of 96 such private U.S. startups were born in India, the highest figure among representatives of any country.
Israel ranked second with 60 companies, followed by the United Kingdom with 47, China with 41, and Canada with 30.
