New Housing to Be Built for Oil and Gas Sector Employees in Turkmenistan’s Regions

The development of social and residential infrastructure for employees of the oil and gas sector was among the practical issues considered by the President of Turkmenistan at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on plans to construct modern residential complexes in the country’s regions.

One of the key projects under the program will be a large residential complex in the city of Mary, designed for a total of 720 families. As part of the first stage, eight four-story residential buildings will be constructed — four buildings with 40 apartments each and four buildings with 24 apartments each. This will provide new comfortable housing for 256 families working in the sector.

At the same time, ten four-story residential buildings for 240 families are planned in Balkanabat. In Turkmenbashi, a twelve-story apartment building with 72 flats will be constructed.

The project is aimed at directly linking the production achievements of the oil and gas sector with a qualitative improvement in the living conditions of the employees who support its day-to-day operations.
