New Prosecutors Appointed in Several Regions of Turkmenistan

On September 4, President of Turkmenistan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, chaired a regular meeting of the State Security Council. During the meeting, the head of state signed documents concerning the appointment and dismissal of prosecutors.

Under the relevant Resolution, the following appointments were made:

• Second-Class Lawyer Azat Şähergeldiýew was appointed Prosecutor of Balkanabat, Balkan Region;
• Second-Class Lawyer Sapaguly Rasulgulyýewiç Welbekow was appointed Prosecutor of Mary, Mary Region;
• Second-Class Lawyer Baýrammuhammet Çarymämmet ogly Ýaryýew was appointed Prosecutor of Garagum District, Mary Region.

The following officials were relieved of their duties:

• Justice Counsellor Serdar Otuzowiç Hojamgulyýew, Prosecutor of Balkanabat, Balkan Region;
• Second-Class Lawyer Şirguly Bäşimkulyýewiç Şirkulyýew, Prosecutor of Döwletli District, Lebap Region;
• Justice Counsellor Döwletgeldi Gurbanmämmedowiç Mämmetamanow, Prosecutor of Mary, Mary Region;
• Justice Counsellor Batyr Rozmyradowiç Artykow, Prosecutor of Garagum District, Mary Region.
