Conference and Exhibition Held at the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan

A conference was held at the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat and the international significance of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan’s initiative to declare 2028 the “Year of International Law.”

The event was attended by Turkmen students studying in Aktau, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora living in Mangystau Region and staff members of the Consulate.

Participants received detailed information about the activities of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, its role in the country’s social and political life in the interests of the people, and its importance in defining the future development priorities of our permanently neutral country.

It was also stated that the Halk Maslahaty is expected to review the work accomplished, analyze the progress achieved and identify long-term priorities for the future.

Particular attention was given to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s initiative to declare 2028 the “Year of International Law.” Participants were also informed that the corresponding resolution, initiated by Turkmenistan and co-sponsored by 78 countries, had been adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.
