National Seminar on Biodiversity Conservation Held in Ashgabat

A national seminar was held in Ashgabat as part of the global project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility to update the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan and prepare the Seventh National Report under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.

The two-day seminar focused on Turkmenistan’s draft National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan for 2026–2035, as well as matters related to preparing national reports under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.

The seminar was aimed at further strengthening Turkmenistan’s international cooperation in environmental protection and ensuring the fulfilment of the country’s international commitments concerning biodiversity conservation.
