Turkmen Athletes Participate in World Nomad Games

The opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games was held at the newly constructed Bishkek Arena stadium in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic.

Athletes from more than 100 countries are participating in this international sporting and cultural event. The Games feature cultural, ethnosport and scientific programs, with competitions held in 43 sports. These include traditional wrestling, horse racing, archery, intellectual games and other national sports.

Athletes from Turkmenistan are also taking part and will demonstrate their skills in Turkmen national wrestling and other sports.

The World Nomad Games are one of the major international events that introduce the national traditions, cultural heritage and ethnosports of Central Asian peoples to a global audience.
