Second International Conference of Central Asian Women Media Professionals Held

The Second International Conference of Central Asian Women Media Professionals was held in Tashkent. More than 100 journalists, editors, media managers, and bloggers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan took part in the event.

The first day of the conference focused on digital security, legal protection of publications, and the sustainability of media businesses. The second day was held in a practical format and focused on the development of editorial teams.

At the conclusion of the conference, heads of editorial offices and the Governing Council of the Coalition of Women Journalists of Central Asia signed a Unified Regional Guide on gender-sensitive journalism.

The Coalition of Women Journalists of Central Asia was established following the first conference held in Bishkek in 2024. At the second conference in Tashkent, participants discussed the coalition’s work plan for 2026–2029 and future joint projects.
