Annual Coordination Meeting of OIC Foreign Ministers Held

On September 24, the annual coordination meeting of the foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was held, during which Turkmenistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Wepa Hajiyev, delivered a statement.

Turkmenistan reaffirmed the importance it attaches to cooperation and solidarity within the Islamic world, highlighting its support for the Palestinian people and the continuation of humanitarian assistance to fellow OIC countries.

The statement also expressed gratitude to OIC member states for supporting the UN General Assembly resolution proclaiming 2028 the International Year of Law.

In this context, the importance of the initiative in strengthening the UN Charter, the sovereign equality of states, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and multilateral cooperation was emphasized.
