Environmental Journalism Training Held in Ashgabat

A two-day training course on covering environmental issues in the media was held at the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat.

Along with a correspondent from tmcars news, the event was attended by representatives of print media, news websites, national television, and public organizations operating in Turkmenistan.

During the training, international expert Angelina Davydova (Russia, Germany) spoke to participants about the current environmental agenda and methods for identifying reliable sources of information.

The journalists worked in groups to identify environmental issues of importance to Turkmenistan, Central Asia, and the wider world.

It was noted that the projects presented during the training could serve as the basis for future articles.
