The President of Turkmenistan participated in the first “Central Asia — Republic of Korea” Summit

As part of the state visit to the Republic of Korea, the President of Turkmenistan participated in the first “Central Asia — Republic of Korea” Summit, which opened a historic page in the record of multilateral cooperation.

Holding this summit amid global transformations in modern international relations demonstrates the growing role of the Central Asian region in the world’s geopolitical and geo-economic system.

The agenda of the high-level meeting includes a wide range of issues aimed at elevating multifaceted cooperation to the level of long-term strategic partnership.

The heads of state will discuss issues related to diversifying transport and logistics corridors across Eurasia, ensuring energy stability, expanding industrial cooperation, exchanging advanced technologies, and implementing joint environmental initiatives.

Turkmenistan, as one of the region’s economic and energy centers and a reliable partner, holds a special place in this dialogue. The country’s foreign policy, based on the principles of permanent neutrality, openness, and effective cooperation, provides strong momentum for regional integration.

During the summit, the heads of state will comprehensively assess the current state of cooperation, identify priority areas of interaction, and develop unified mechanisms for their implementation.

In his speech, the President of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-myung for the hospitality, the high level of organization of the first “Central Asia — Republic of Korea” Summit, and the conditions created for joint work. He emphasized that the summit lays the foundation for a new stage of cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the countries of Central Asia.

During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan put forward several proposals related to joint projects in geology, mineral resource processing, energy, including “green” energy, the introduction of advanced Korean technologies, the creation of multimodal transport corridors, and increasing the region’s transit potential.
