Representatives of Turkmenistan participated in the meeting of women journalists of Central Asia

The second meeting of women media professionals of Central Asia is being held in Tashkent.

The event brought together more than 100 journalists and media specialists from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Participants are discussing practical issues faced by women in journalism. These include online discrimination, cyber harassment, disclosure of personal information, threats against family members, and attempts to damage professional reputation.

Special attention is being paid to expanding opportunities for women to hold leadership positions in editorial offices, improving media management, and strengthening professional cooperation among women journalists in the countries of the region.
