Results of the Akhal-Teke Horse World Championship Held in the Netherlands Announced

The results of the World Championship in equestrian sport and beauty competitions among Akhal-Teke horses, held in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, have been announced.

In the “World Champion among Akhal-Teke Horses — 2026” competition, the black horse Ýyndam, owned by A. Martinez of France, received the title of “Absolute Champion” and the “World Champion” prize. The winner was ceremonially presented with the keys to a modern passenger car on behalf of the esteemed President. This was reported by a representative of the Biznes Türkmenistan online publication who attended the event.

A. Martinez accepted the car keys, after which, in accordance with a noble Turkmen tradition, flour was sprinkled on the new vehicle and an alaja braid was tied to it.

In the “Champion of Young Horses” competition, Meledag, a stallion of the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex, was declared the winner and received a cash prize of €10,000 and the competition cup.

In the “Best Stallion of Europe” competition, Agana Şael, a horse owned by private French horse breeder A. Beýli, won a cash prize of €10,000 and a cup.

In the “Most Beautifully Decorated Horse” competition, Toýly, a bay stallion of the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, was declared the winner and received a cash prize of €5,000 and a cup.

In the beauty competitions, Jerengözli of the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex won among one- and two-year-old horses, while Güneş of the same complex won among three-year-old horses. Ming-de-Ahal, from the stable of French horse breeder S. Plaýin, won among three- and four-year-old stallions, while Ýagşyja — Owadan, from the stable of B. Mamelekov of Ukraine, won among horses aged five and older. Each winner received a €3,000 cash prize and a competition cup.

In the dressage competition, Bady-Saba, the horse of Ukrainian breeder Liliya, won, while Yhlas Çopanov, an athlete of Turkmenistan’s National Equestrian Sports Centre, won the show-jumping competition. Each received a cash prize of €3,000 and a cup.

In the international creative competition, P. Patdykow was declared the winner in sculpture, A. Atahanow in painting, O. Amanjaýewa in carpet weaving, Ukrainian artist W. Osowskiý in photography and A. Sähedow in jewellery making. Each winner received a cash prize of €1,500.

In addition, the Galkynyş National Equestrian Games Group received the “Winner of the Audience’s Love” award during the Akhal-Teke Horse World Championship.
