Further Development of Turkmen-Dutch Relations Discussed

Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov met with Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen in The Hague.

The parties noted with satisfaction the steady development of Turkmen-Dutch relations and expressed interest in further expanding cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Particular attention was given to cooperation in education and the training of diplomatic personnel, including Turkmenistan’s long-standing cooperation with the Netherlands Institute of International Relations “Clingendael.”

The parties also discussed preparations for the World Equestrian Championships and an Akhal-Teke horse beauty contest to be held in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual readiness to continue joint efforts to further strengthen the multifaceted relations between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
