School Attended by Alexander the Great Discovered

In northern Greece, archaeologists have discovered the ruins of an ancient complex believed to be connected with the youth of Alexander the Great.

According to researchers, it was here around 2,400 years ago that Aristotle taught the future commander and the children of other prominent Macedonians.

The complex is located in the ancient city of Mieza. Archaeologists found two banquet halls, a sports ground, a stadium, a covered gallery, and classrooms with stone benches.

The complex featured mosaic floors, while the buildings were decorated with columns. In terms of architecture and luxury, it resembles the royal palace at Aigai, where Philip II and his son Alexander lived.
