Newly Opened Institutes in Turkmenistan Receive International Certificates

International certificates were ceremonially presented to the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction and the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute during the opening ceremonies of their new building complexes.

On behalf of the international organization Cert International, its representative Marat Khabibulin presented the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction with certificates confirming compliance with five international ISO standards. These included ISO 9001:2015 for the quality management system of the new building complex; ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management; ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety management; ISO 21001:2018 for the management systems of educational organizations; and ISO 27001:2022 for information security management.

UNDP Resident Representative in Turkmenistan Narine Sahakyan then announced that the institute had received a Green Certificate for Energy Efficiency; a Green Certificate for Water-Saving Technologies; a Green Certificate for Engaging Students in Sustainable Energy Development; a Certificate for Water Resource Conservation and Management; a Certificate for Energy Efficiency and Monitoring; and a Certificate for Enhancing Educational and Professional Skills.

Kenworthy T. Joseph, Managing Director of Pearson VUE’s Certiport division, announced that the higher education institution had been granted the status of a Certiport Authorized International Testing Center. This will enable the institute to conduct examinations in accordance with international Certiport certification requirements and allow students and professionals to validate their professional and digital skills according to internationally recognized standards.

The Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute also received a certificate from Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University of the Russian Federation for implementing innovative pedagogy; a certificate from the Contribution to the Future charitable foundation for its significant contribution to improving the quality of teacher training and introducing innovative technologies into Turkmenistan’s education system; a UNICEF certificate for its special contribution and cooperation in improving social-sector education and developing inclusive education in Turkmenistan; a letter of appreciation from the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education for the creation and commissioning of the new modern building complex; and a membership certificate from the UNESCO International Association of Universities.
