Young people from Turkmenistan are invited to participate in the NIIED scholarship program of the Republic of Korea
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ashgabat announced that the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea is accepting foreign applicants for the government scholarship program for bachelor’s degree studies in 2027.
The program includes one year of Korean language study, followed by a main academic program lasting 4–6 years.
Selected applicants who hold a TOPIK certificate with a level above 5 in Korean language proficiency will be exempted from the Korean language training stage.
Requirements for applicants:
- Citizenship: Turkmenistan;
- Age: under 25 years old (born after March 1, 2002);
- Education: must have completed or plan to complete high school or college by December 31, 2026.
Application deadline:
From September 15, 2026 (Tuesday) at 11:00 to September 30, 2026 (Wednesday) at 18:00 (Korean time).
