Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan Hold Consultations

Turkmen-Azerbaijani consultations on consular matters were held in Ashgabat at the level of the heads of the consular services of the two countries’ foreign ministries.

The parties discussed key issues of bilateral consular cooperation, the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of both countries, as well as cooperation in migration, legal and law enforcement matters.

They also considered opportunities to further develop cooperation and exchange experience between the migration services of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a Protocol on Consular Consultations.
