What Are the Ranking and Opportunities of Turkmenistan’s Passport This Year?

In 2026, the mobility index for holders of a Turkmenistan passport covers 59 different destinations. This represents approximately 29.8% of the world’s countries and corresponds to 158th place in the overall ranking.

Of the total number of accessible destinations, 13 allow visa-free travel, 42 offer visas on arrival or a simplified entry procedure, while 4 require travelers to obtain an electronic travel authorization, or eTA.

At the same time, advance visa arrangements remain mandatory for travel to 139 countries.

An analysis of long-term trends indicates that mobility indicators have gradually improved compared with the beginning of the decade. This also reflects the country’s position in various international rankings related to openness and hospitality.
