JONY Changes His Name

Russian singer of Azerbaijani origin JONY has changed his passport details. The artist’s documents now list the name Massimo Torricelli instead of Jahid Afrail.

The singer’s birth name is Jahid Afrail oglu Huseynli. He was born in Azerbaijan and has lived in Russia since the age of four.

In 2021, JONY won the second season of the show “Maska” on Russia’s NTV channel. He gained widespread popularity with songs including “Kometa,” “Ty besposhchadna,” and “Kamin,” recorded in 2020 with EMIN (Emin Agalarov).
