France Appoints New Ambassador to Turkmenistan

French President Emmanuel Macron has signed a decree appointing Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs Alyona Gran as the country’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan.

The new ambassador has more than 25 years of diplomatic experience. She began her career in 2001 as a press attaché and interpreter at the embassy in Minsk and later held various senior positions in Namibia, Romania and at the ministry in Paris.
