Fernando Alonso Becomes Owner of the Most Expensive Bugatti Veyron in History

Two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso has added a unique one-off Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse to his car collection.

The vehicle is regarded as the most expensive Veyron in the brand’s history. Alonso was spotted driving it in Monaco.

The car in question is chassis No. 8100, built in 2015 as a one-off special order. Its original owner commissioned the model after being inspired by the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Pur Sang.

The customer requested that all body panels, including the bumpers, be made from aluminum rather than plastic as on the production version.

Bugatti initially declined the project because of its high cost, but eventually agreed to build the car.
