Turkmenistan Delegation Takes Part in the 70th IAEA General Conference

A delegation of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Industry Azat Ovezov took part in the 70th regular session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held in Vienna from September 14 to 18 this year.

During the conference, particular attention was paid to cooperation in the healthcare sector, including the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, as well as the support provided by the IAEA to the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center in Ashgabat.

Turkmenistan presented its initiative entitled “Atoms for Landlocked Developing Countries,” aimed at expanding access for landlocked developing countries to the peaceful use of nuclear science and technology.
