Artificial intelligence will be studied from the first grade in schools of Kazakhstan
In the new academic year, schoolchildren in Kazakhstan will begin learning about artificial intelligence from the first grade.
The subject “Digital Literacy”, taught in primary school, will be renamed “Digital Literacy and Artificial Intelligence”, while the subject “Computer Science”, taught from the fifth grade, will be renamed “Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence”.
According to the information, students will be taught not only how to use artificial intelligence technologies, but also how to use them in an “informed, effective, and responsible” manner.
The curriculum will cover topics such as media literacy, digital security, personal data protection, computational thinking, programming, and the use of artificial intelligence in everyday life.
