Conference Held at Turkmenistan’s Embassy in Uzbekistan

A conference was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan to discuss the social and political significance of the forthcoming regular meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the UN General Assembly Resolution “2028 — International Year of Law,” adopted at Turkmenistan’s initiative.

Speakers emphasized the important role of the Halk Maslahaty in the country’s social and political life, strengthening national unity, discussing matters of nationwide importance and determining strategic priorities for national development.

Particular attention was paid to the international initiative of the President of Turkmenistan to declare 2028 the International Year of Law.

It was noted that the UN General Assembly Resolution, co-sponsored by 78 states, demonstrates the international community’s broad support for Turkmenistan’s efforts to strengthen international law and promote a culture of dialogue and trust in interstate relations.
