Meeting Held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of India

A meeting involving Turkmen students studying in India was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of India. The event focused on the significance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the United Nations General Assembly resolution “2028—International Year of Law,” adopted at Turkmenistan’s initiative.

In his remarks, Ambassador Sh. Geldynazarov discussed high-level events being organized to mark the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence in 2026, observed under the motto “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan—Land of Rapid Progress and Cherished Aspirations.” Particular attention was given to the importance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, scheduled for September 23.

Participants were also introduced to the United Nations General Assembly resolution “2028—International Year of Law,” adopted at Turkmenistan’s initiative.

The resolution was co-sponsored by 78 countries, and the broad international support for this initiative was highlighted as an achievement of Turkmenistan’s constructive foreign policy.
