A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with Christine Hawkins, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Turkmenistan

A meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mähri Bäşimowa and Christine Hawkins, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States of America in Turkmenistan.

During the meeting held on August 7, the parties discussed current issues of Turkmen-American cooperation and considered prospects for further developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The parties exchanged views on priority areas of bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including the development of relations in education and sports, as well as the implementation of joint projects and programmes.

During the meeting, the interlocutors confirmed their readiness to continue regular dialogue on a wide range of issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda and to further develop constructive cooperation.
