A round table was held at the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Mashhad

A round table was held at the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Mashhad, Islamic Republic of Iran, dedicated to the significance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as the Resolution “2028 — International Year of International Law” adopted by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, the “Magtymguly adyndaky” and “Gülistan ykdysady” magazines, the “Ülkämiz” and “Sedaýe Gonbad” news agencies, representatives of the cultural and healthcare sectors, as well as staff members of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan.

During the event, the importance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which will be held on September 23, 2026, in Ashgabat ahead of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence, was highlighted.

Special attention was paid to the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan to declare 2028 the International Year of International Law. The speakers emphasized that the adoption of this Resolution is of great importance for strengthening international law, ensuring peace and security, and further developing constructive and equal multilateral cooperation.
