A conference dedicated to the significance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the UN General Assembly Resolution “2028 — International Year of Law” was held in Dushanbe

A conference was recently held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tajikistan, dedicated to the international significance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as the initiative of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to proclaim 2028 as the “International Year of Law.”

The event was attended by representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, professors and lecturers, Turkmen students studying at higher educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan, and staff of the Embassy of Turkmenistan.

Participants were provided with detailed information about the activities of the Halk Maslahaty, its role in the country’s socio-political system, and its important significance in determining the strategic directions of national development.

The international initiative of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to proclaim 2028 as the International Year of Law was also presented in detail.

At the end of the conference, musical works were performed on the dutar, the national musical instrument of the Turkmen people, which is included in UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
