Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Japan Meet in Ashgabat

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between delegations headed by the Turkmen Foreign Minister and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, who arrived in the country on a working visit.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing Turkmen-Japanese relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. They also considered preparations for a joint meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen economic cooperation committees, scheduled to be held in Tokyo later this year.

A ceremony was also held to sign the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for 2027–2029.
