111th Meeting of CIS Economic Council to Be Held in Ashgabat

Preparations are underway to hold the 111th meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Ashgabat in September this year.

According to the agenda, the restricted-format session will discuss key issues of economic cooperation among CIS member states, an action plan for 2026–2030 to implement the Strategy for Ensuring Transport Security during international transportation within their territories, and arrangements for the council’s next meeting.

The expanded-format session is expected to consider the activities of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification for 2023–2026, as well as drafts of the Concept for Developing Cooperation among CIS Member States in the Production of Materials Important to High-Technology Industries and its implementation plan.

This was announced during the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via digital communication on August 28.
