Turkmen chess player Lale Shokhradova won gold and silver medals at the Asian Championship

Turkmen chess player Lale Shokhradova (FIDE rating — 2181) won gold and silver medals at the Asian Championship among boys and girls under 20, held from August 16 to 26 in Mumbai, India.

Lale Shokhradova won the gold medal in the rapid chess tournament among 60 chess players based on additional criteria. On the first day of the competition, she won a silver medal in the blitz tournament.

Representatives from India, Kazakhstan, the Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan took part in the tournament.
