Customs officers conducted a security exercise for the Middle Corridor along the Turkmenbashi–Baku route

Customs officers conducted an exercise aimed at ensuring the security of the Middle Corridor along the Turkmenbashi–Baku route. The event was held with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Customs Organization (WCO), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the Regional Network of Customs Authorities (IREN).

The unique format of the exercise connected two important hubs on the Caspian Sea — the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and Azerbaijan’s Alat Port. The practical stage began in Turkmenistan, continued aboard a ferry during the crossing of the Caspian Sea, and concluded in Baku.
