National Leader of the Turkmen People Holds Telephone Conversation with President of Kazakhstan

On August 25, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Hero-Arkadag thanked President Tokayev for his significant personal contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship, brotherhood and good-neighborly relations between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and personally, he also congratulated the Kazakh leader on an important political event—the first elections to the Kurultai of Kazakhstan.

President Tokayev expressed confidence that the legislative bodies of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan would continue developing close cooperation and contribute to strengthening Kazakh-Turkmen relations.

At the end of the conversation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence in the continued successful development of traditional Turkmen-Kazakh relations and wished the brotherly peoples of both countries prosperity and progress.
