President of Turkmenistan Reviews Construction Progress of the International Pediatric Center

The President of Turkmenistan reviewed construction work at the International Pediatric Center, which is nearing completion in the southern part of Ashgabat. The country’s official media reported the visit on Friday.

The President received a briefing on the progress of construction, the installation of equipment in the center’s departments, and the landscaping of the surrounding area. The facility is part of the Directorate of International Medical Centers. He was also presented with the master plan and designs for clinical laboratories, operating rooms, inpatient wards, a conference hall, a children’s playground and other related facilities.

The five-story center is intended to provide medical care to children over the age of three. Its opening is planned to coincide with the professional holiday of healthcare and medical industry workers in the year marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence. Medical services are expected to be organized in cooperation with leading international clinics.

The President emphasized the importance of creating a child-friendly environment throughout the center. He also instructed officials to incorporate international best practices and actively use artificial intelligence and digital technologies in the delivery of medical services.

Particular attention was given to maintaining electronic medical records, ensuring the efficient and long-term use of equipment, and enabling medical professionals to adopt advanced international practices and the latest scientific developments.

During the visit, the President instructed officials to complete the construction work to high standards and within the established deadlines, while ensuring thorough preparations for the opening ceremony of the International Pediatric Center.
