National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero-Arkadag, Reviews Construction of the International Oncology Research and Clinical Center

National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reviewed ongoing work at the International Oncology Research and Clinical Center, which is nearing completion in northern Ashgabat. Hero-Arkadag also examined projects displayed in the center’s lobby.

World-renowned medical professors from Germany, who participated in the visit to review the construction and technical capabilities of the complex, outlined the features of the equipment presented and its potential for preventing and treating cancer.

During discussions with the guests, the National Leader of the Turkmen People noted that Turkmenistan maintains productive cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency in healthcare and oncology.

The projects presented included consultation facilities, functional and imaging diagnostics, integrated intelligent digital data-analysis modules, endoscopy, outpatient hematology for adults, general radiation therapy, restorative dermatology, pediatric outpatient research and clinical hematology, radiopharmaceutical production, and other specialized facilities. Equipment layouts and floor plans were also displayed.

Hero-Arkadag then toured the center’s departments. He emphasized that once the center opens, its departments must operate effectively, with their work planned for the long term.
