A Turkmen-Uzbek film about Magtymguly will be screened at a film festival in St. Petersburg
The feature film “Magtymguly Pyragy,” jointly created by filmmakers from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, has been included in the official program of the 7th International “Lendoc Film Festival,” which will be held in St. Petersburg from August 20 to 22.
This historical and biographical film will present the region’s cultural heritage at one of the leading film forums in the Eurasian region.
The film festival will feature 40 feature and documentary films from 13 countries, including Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, China, India, Iran and Belarus.
It is worth noting that the feature film “Magtymguly Pyragy” has already received high praise from experts and audiences at international venues.
At the “Gorkut Ata” International Film Festival in Ashgabat, the film won the grand prize in the “Best Feature Film” category, took first prize at the “Turan” Film Festival in Türkiye, and received the Audience Award at the “ECG Film Festival” in London.
The film was also included in the competition programs of the “Eurasia” Film Festival in Almaty and the “Altyn Minbar” Film Festival in Kazan.
