Young Scholars and Students Invited to Enter International Affairs Competition

The A. A. Gromyko Association for Foreign Policy Studies, together with the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MGIMO University of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, has announced a call for applications for the 2026 CIS Young International Affairs Specialists Competition.

The competition is intended for young analysts, diplomats, lecturers and journalists, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students in the social sciences and humanities. Citizens of CIS member states aged 18 to 35 are eligible to participate.

The main category is open to young scholars, academic staff, lecturers, postgraduate students, researchers and journalists aged 25 to 35.

The debut category is open to students enrolled in bachelor’s, specialist and master’s degree programs, postgraduate students, university and research institution staff, researchers and journalists aged 18 to 24.

At least 50 participants will be invited to the in-person final in Moscow, hosted by the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences and MGIMO University. Participants’ travel and accommodation expenses will be fully covered by the organizers.

Applications and analytical papers will be accepted until September 20 through the project’s official website, gromyko.ru/konkurs.
