Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the OSCE Chairperson

On August 5, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Ignazio Cassis, Vice-President of the Swiss Confederation, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and current Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues related to the OSCE’s activities, the further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the organisation, as well as the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Swiss Confederation.

The parties emphasised the importance of continuing the practice of holding high-level regional events in Ashgabat with the participation of the OSCE leadership and highly praised the results of previously held joint events.

They also exchanged views on preparations for several joint events planned to be held in Ashgabat in the near future, aimed at developing regional cooperation and sharing best practices.
