Political consultations were held between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan

Political consultations at the level of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tajikistan were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the consultations, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda. Particular attention was paid to strengthening and improving the areas of political and diplomatic cooperation.

Special focus was placed on the development of trade and economic cooperation, with the steady growth of trade turnover between the two countries being noted. The prospects for expanding cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and communications, agriculture, trade and investment activities were also discussed.

In addition, a ceremony was held to sign the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2027–2028.
