Carpet weavers in western Turkmenistan are weaving a giant carpet

Carpet weavers of the Gyzylarbat Artistic Carpet-Weaving Enterprise, which is part of the “Türkmenhaly” State Association, are currently weaving a giant carpet featuring the “guşly göl” ornament to mark the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.

The carpet will have a white background. It will measure 23 metres in width and 12 metres in length, with a total area of 276 square metres. A total of 84 carpet weavers are working on it in two shifts.

According to the report, the giant carpet is expected to be completed by the end of August and delivered within the scheduled timeframe in accordance with high production standards.
