Turkmen Delegation Attends Media Forum in Uzbekistan

An international media forum titled “Center of Islamic Civilization: New Perspectives, New Discoveries” is taking place in Tashkent and Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from August 24 to 29. Representatives of Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and media organizations are participating.

The main part of the forum is being held at Uzbekistan’s Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent. The opening ceremony took place on August 21, after which the forum began its proceedings.

During a plenary session, speakers discussed challenges in contemporary documentary filmmaking, major approaches to film production and professional experience in the field.

The forum will continue in Samarkand on August 27, when participants will explore the city’s historical and cultural landmarks.

The closing plenary session and the forum’s closing ceremony are scheduled for August 28.
