Alp Arslan Begenjow reached the semifinals of the World Wrestling Championship held in Slovakia

Member of the Turkmenistan national freestyle wrestling team Alp Arslan Begenjow reached the semifinals of the World Championship among athletes under 20, held in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The wrestling competitions started on August 16 and will conclude on August 23. Competing in the up to 86 kg weight category, Begenjow secured confident victories in three bouts on his way to the semifinals.

In the semifinals, the Turkmen wrestler will face Russia’s representative Ahmad Mukutov. In the other semifinal of this weight category, American Ayoden James Sinclair will compete against Japan’s Natsura Okazawa.
