Turkmen athletes achieved great success at the Asian Championships!

From 27 June to 5 July 2026, in Pattaya, Kingdom of Thailand, the Asian Championships for under-15 and under-20 athletes in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling will be held. At the Asian 15 & 20 U-23 Age Group Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships, held in Pattaya, Thailand from 27th June to 5th July 2026, talented Turkmen wrestlers achieved excellent results! In the 20 U-23 age group, competing in the 92 kilogram weight category, Döwletgeldi Myradow won the gold medal in freestyle wrestling. Also, Alp Arslan Begenjow, competing in the 86 kilogram category, won a silver medal in freestyle wrestling, while Arslan Agadadaýew, who wrestled in the 130 kilogram category, won a silver medal in Greco-Roman wrestling. In the under-15 age group, Ibrahym Durdyev, competing in the 38 kilogram weight category, won a silver medal in freestyle wrestling, while Mammet Kulyev, competing in the 68 kilogram category, won a bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling.
